Milo, my little friend
Hello
I'm Kamrie. I've been making art since I was a kid. I've always been particularly interested in unusual and surreal subject matter.
I enjoy making creatures, worlds, and scenes that feel like you are viewing them in a dream.
Each piece I make has a story woven in.
Bloodwhirr, for example, is a world. Every creature in the Bloodwhirr series has a part they play in the world. There is usually more than one meaning. I often tie strong emotions or experiences in.
However, I currently leave the works open to interpretation because I like people to extract their own feelings and ideas from the art.
The Bloodwhirr style is composed of thousands of digital pencil strokes. I never use brush stamps or anything of that sort because I want it to feel intentional and be as organic as a digital image can be.
I also draw in the repetitive stroke manner the way I do because it represents how everything is connected. Like the universe is a blanket and everything inside is a thread.

The colored pencil artworks are from my earlier days. I used to be more subject-focused and was more interested in creature creations and concepts.
Since beginning the Bloodwhirr series, I've garnered a new love for backgrounds and treat them as characters themselves or as an extension to the characters in a piece.

I do graphic design work as well and have a page for the posters I've made for various events. It's a different approach than my fine art ventures. I've enjoyed learning new skills in this realm and exploring different ways to best convey information.

To sum up, I love to create and I inject meaning into everything I do.

I plan to regularly update the site with new works and projects. I'm currently working on oil paintings and will add those as soon as they are ready.

Welcome to my realm!
